Without vision, you and your business will get left behind.

Every business has a plan for you.

Facebook’s plan for you is to spend more time on Facebook so it can show you more ads.

Netflix’s plan for you is to watch more shows and movies. You don’t have to do anything when an episode ends either because it automatically starts for you.

Credit card companies want you to spend more. They’ll even call it “freedom” (which it’s not).
�The only real freedom will come from your vision, not theirs.

Why is this important? Your vision… your context… has to be stronger, bigger and more compelling than all the other visions and voices in your world.

Use social media to whatever is in line with your vision, nothing more. Maybe that is connecting with friends/family, maybe lead generation, maybe both… but not trolling, lurking or mindlessly scrolling the feed.

Watch Netflix to whatever is in line with your vision, nothing more. Maybe it’s time with family, or entertainment… but not escapism, procrastination and/or avoidance.

Keep your actions in line with YOUR VISION. Live life on your own terms. Those boundaries and structures will not restrict you or trap… they will set you free.

Communication Tip: Nothing is more confusing than sending messages like “I would like to meet you and talk about what we could do to help each other.”

The message recipient has no idea what that means. It then puts her in the awkward position of having to ask what it means.

She is wondering, “Are you trying to pitch me? Do you want to learn more about my services?”

Smart business owners are focused.

A random invitation for lunch, with no clear intention identified, will not be received well.

Between driving to the location and the time spent there, that could easily eat up 1.5 to 3 hours.

Gauge interest first with something like “I’m curious if you're interested in meeting or talking on the phone to discuss XYZ.”

Be specific. You’ll get better results.

Do you know what the purpose of a profile is? It is to intrigue the reader.

You do not want to give all the details. You do not want to reveal all your secret strategies.

You want to give them enough that makes them think, “I want to know more” or “This person seems difference from the rest” or “Impressive results. I wonder how she does that.”

This is the difference between marketing and sales.

1. Make the first sentence be a strong statement or question (something to engage your audience).
2. Make sure the flow of what you write works well. (Don’t bounce around. Do not throw multiple thoughts at your readers. Stick to the point.)
